Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

THE recent addition of more than 350 small direct-sales vans to the fleet of T. Wall and Sons Ltd. represents the largest new operation of its kind ever undertaken by the company.

"This new contingent, now operating at full capacity from nearly 100 Wall's depots throughout Britain, is claimed to be the largest "directly controlled" mobile-sales operation in the ice-cream industry today. Combined with the reintroduction of the popular slogan " Stop Mc and Buy One" which appears on the vans, they "are nearly doubling the sales target we set for them ", said Mr. Beer, marketing director of Wall.

he left-hand drive of the vehicles permits the driver-salesman to alight safely on the kerbside, drawing his supplies from a large, refrigerated storage unit inside the van. As a challenge to bad weather. the van has also been designed with a small ice-cream storage cabinet beside the driver, so that he can stop when requested and make a sale without leaving his scat.

1 he vans are Thames 5-cwt. models, supplied by Ford Motor Co. Ltd. Bodywork is by Martin Walter Ltd., of Folkestone, who also installed the icecream storage cabinets, specially made by Wall. A resin-bonded, glass-fibre superstructure is used over the payload space replacing the production body. Large. sliding windows at the side and a large. fixed rear window allow maximum light for the interior. The tail-gate, when lowered, gives access to a hand-washing unit for the driver-salesman, who is supplied with hot water from an insulated tank.
