Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

LEYLAND BUS has had most of its fleet demonstration coaches and a number of operators' vehicles inspected and approved for West German Tempo 100 operation, and is offering a similar service to operators of all makes of coach.

The inspections took place for the first time in Britain after Leyland had arranged to fly a representative of TUV, the German vehicle testing authority, to its technical centre near Preston.

During his trip, the inspector passed 28 coaches which will now be permitted to operate at 100km/h on West German autobahns. The inspection session removed the need for a special inspection trip to Germany.

Leyland Bus plans to hold future TUV inspection sessions at the centre to assist operators wishing to comply with the German regulation which covers braking standards as well as seat belt, tyre and power to weight ratios. The sessions will not be restricted to Leyland coaches.
