Marron Machines have introduced a portable spot welder capable of welding together two plates of 1.5mm thickness (I6swg) at a rate of up Ito 200 spots per hour, although it has a capacity of up to 1,000 spots per hour when welding two 0.5mm thick (25swg) plates.

The machine, the Super Stork Model TMP 2000, weighs 9.9kg (21.81b) and measures 355mm

x 215mm x 90mm (14 x 8i

x 3iin). It has a 240V, 50 cycles single-phase input, enabling it to be used from standard mains supply, although other voltages are available.

Standard 150mm (6in) long arms and tips are supplied, but other arms up to 450mm (18in) can be supplied.

An optional timer control unit with settings between 0.05 and 2.5 seconds and a control circuit to shorten or lengthen pre-set welding times is also available.
