COST cutting through more economic and efficient distribution is the subject of a British Institute of Management seminar on May 19.
With distribution accounting for 11 per cent of the country's gross national product the institute says that any savings that can be made can help to make a company more competitive.
President of the West Lancs BIM, which is organising the seminar, Mr Bob Muddimer, said : "All companies today are seeking ways to cut costs without reducing their service to customers. This seminar will show how other firms have already tackled the problem successfully."
