• Eastern Counties Omnibus Co Ltd is the course of approaching schools and be authorities in its area to try to persuac them to stagger school hours.
An increasing population of children ar a bigger percentage requiring buses has p too great a demand on resources at per periods with the result that the cornpar has had to increase its fleet at peak timt This has proved uneconomic and it has bet necessary to charge ,schoolchildrc travelling at peak times the full fare.
The company says that where schoo are able to co-operate they will offer speci low rates on a term basis for off-per travelling. Any saving made by better use' buses running at off peak periods would] passed on to the children.
