GLASGOW CORPORATION transport department crews have been given effective support by the city police since December last to such effect that 118 arrests have been made and many incidents averted on late-night week-end buses, Crews protested through the Transport and General Workers' Union that late-night rowdies were making life impossible for bus workers, many of whom refused Friday and Saturday evening duties.
The position had now improved very considerably, the Chief Constable reported to his committee, and there had been a revival of confidence among bus workers,
