• As exclusively predicted by Commercial Motor (20-26 July 1989) Scania GB will launch a higher-powered 236kW (316hp) eight-wheeled rigid chassis at the Motor Show, subject to Type Approval.
The 113ML-32 models will use the charge-cooled, 11-litre diesel unit and will be available with existing wheelbase and driveline options.
Grassington, North Yorkshire haulier Fewston Transport, which runs a mainly Foden fleet, has provisionally ordered at least three.
Fewston, which emerged last May following a management buyout from Tilcon, has also purchased its first Scania P93M 8x4 complete with Weightlifter insulated bodywork and Drum tipgear, bringing its fleet of eight-leggers to 19.
