Pearsons Recycling buys Envirowaste dry waste division
THETFORD, NORFOLK-based Pearsons Recycling has bought the dry waste division of fellow Thetford operator Envirowaste for an undisclosed fee.
The asset-only purchase of the division will be integrated with Pearsons current fleet and staffing levels.
It will also add additional waste tonnage to Pearsons materials recovery facilities in the town, which MD Jo Pearson says is vital to meeting government recycling targets.
-The more waste we can divert through these material recycling facilities, the more we can recycle while providing secure jobs," he says.
Pearsons Recycling holds an 0-licence for 65 vehicles and 12 trailers, while Envirowaste, which will concentrate on liquid waste and tankers, holds an 0-licence for 22 vehicles and 17 trailers.
