AJ Long Transport, is facing a prison sentence after admitting to smuggling more than 25,000 litres of untaxed green diesel into the UK from the Republic of Ireland.

Long, of Reeds Court, Liverpool, appeared before Liverpool Crown Court.

He initially denied his involvement but changed his plea to guilty on two counts of knowingly being concerned in the fraudulent evasion of excise duty totalling approximately £210,000.
