BIG DEMAND FOR AMBULANCES
CALLS on Bradford's ambulances have more than doubled since the National Health Service came into operation a year ago. In the six months before the new Health-Act was passed, ambulance cases averaged between 1,000 and 1,500 a month, but the monthly figures have now increased to nearly 4,000.
