THROUGH their joint subsidiary concern, Austin Crompton Parkinson Electric Vehicles, Ltd., the Austin Motor Co., Ltd., and Crompton Parkinson, Ltd., have acquired control of I.T.D., Ltd., world distributor of the British-produced Staeatruc and Aerolift lift trucks.

Mr. L. P, Lord has been elected chairman and Col. R. T Hartmann continues as managing director, It is the company's intention to develop and expand the existing range of equipment and to manufacture battery-electric Stacatruc vehicles.

R.H.A. PRESSES MINISTER' A MEMORANDUM on the subject 1-1 of delays in the settlement of negotiations over payment of compensation has been submitted by the Road Haulage Association to the Minister of Transport. It is hoped that this will lead' to an improvement in the machinery designed to deal with such negotiations.

It is proposed to continue to press the matter with the British Transport Commission itself, and an undertaking has been received from the Road Haulage Executive to look into specific instances of unnecessary delays
