KARRIER MOTORS will stop ir porting Renault's J-Serif medium range commercia from next year, and will dello. its efforts to promoting ti Dodge Commando 2 built at f Dunstable factory.
In an interview to be publish( in next week's CM, Karrier chai man and managing director La rent Brisset revealed that the , Series will be dropped in Britai so that the company can purst fleet business for the Con mando.
The Commando will contini to be available on the Europee' market, and there are no plans I offer Renault engines in it, as tlPerkins units fitted have mi with a good response since model was launched last year.
Mr Brisset also gave details' the company's plans to mare facture Renault-designe vehicles at Dunstable. There still a chance that the Trafic va will be built there, but there al much firmer plans to start mai ing vehicles in the 16-tonne-ant over range from around 1984.
