Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

PERKINS ENGINES has spent over Om on installing cylinder block and head machining lines at its Eastfield Peterborough factory.

The two machining lines have been designed to produce heads and blocks for the six cylinder 6.3544 and four cylinder 4.326 diesel engines.

The cylinder block line is in the final stages of commissioning and will be in full production by November, by when it will have a capacity of 60,000 blocks per year with the potential to increase this to 70,000. The cylinder head line will start operation early in 1983, beginning at 75,000 units per year, increasing to 90,000 depending on demand.

The new production lines are claimed by Perkins to be among the longest automated transfer lines in Europe with that for the cylinder blocks, for example, being 365m (1200 ft) long.
