The Welsh say Oui

More than eight out of 10 Welsh companies favour a European currency, in contrast to the UK average of 36%. however, their fellow Celts, the Scots, also buck the Eurosceptic trend56% of businesses north of the border are happy to go down the route to a single currency. The poll of 1,100 UK exporters was carried out by NCM Credit Insurance of Cardiff.

Chernobyl appeal

A0id is still sought for victims of the Chernobyl nuclear disaster. The Chernobyl Appeal Fund tells the Hawk it has distributed more than £1m-worth of medical aid to the Ukranian Women's Association to go to hospitals and orphanages. A consignment is sent every month, valued at £300,000, but transportation costs at £2,500 per time eat into the budget.
