• The army has taken delivery of the first of 80 Iveco Ford 330.25s, ordered in August 1988 for off-road clearance work.
The 6x6 has an off-road capacity of 33 tonnes, with a driveline featuring a ZF synchromesh torque convertor mounted at the rear of the en in front of the eightspeed ZE synchromesh gearbox.
It uses a two-speed transfer box to split the drive between the 7.5-tonne front axle and the twin rear 26-tonne axles, and is powered by a Magirus air-cooled engine.
