SALFORD Van Hire, the truck rental and contract hire business, has doubled its contract hire fleet in less than a year.
Last year, it set itself a target of doubling the 600strong contract hire fleet by the end of this year, hut managing director Raffaello Bacci said this week that it has already reached 1,240 and is ex pected to grow more by the end of the year.
Much of that increase has conic from the expansion of existing contracts, but it has also won new business with such clients as Elan, Camerons Brewery and Semperit Tyres.
In the same period, the spot hire fleet has grown from around 2,000 trucks to 2,400.
