Today Graham Montgomerie takes over from Gibb Grace as Technical Editor of Commercial Motor. Mr Montgomerie, who is 30, has spent the past five years in the research department of the truck and bus division of British Leyland Motor Corporation. He served a student apprenticeship with the then Leyland Motors Ltd before taking a degree in automotive engineering at Loughborough University of Technology. His Leyland service included a period of secondment to British Road Services Ltd, involving administration, engineering and driving experience.

After two and a half years with CM, Gibb Grace is leaving to become chief press officer, commercial vehicles, with Ford Motor Ltd.
