Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Leicester Corporation Transport restarted its Park and Ride services this week. In past years the undertaking has operated a pre-Christmas shoppers' service and pioneered this type of service in the UK.

This year the shoppers' service will be augmented by a permanent commuters' service on weekdays. A large car park at Abbey Lane has been surfaced for permanent use. Free parking is available there and commuters can travel into the city centre — a 12-minute journey — for a fare of 5p each way. Between 07.00 and 09.10, and 16.20 and 18.10. a bus service — operating every 10 or 15 minutes — is provided. • Bee-Line Roadways Ltd, the Teessidebased coach concern, has announced plans to expand its touring operations. More than 15,000 seats are being offered next season on direct departure tours to Yugoslavia, Germany, Spain, Austria, Italy, Switzerland, Holland, France and Belgium.

A further eight coaches to be bought will bring the fleet strength to 120. Several of these will be based in Ostend with British crews. Departures are also being offered from London.

Chairman of Bee-Line, Mr Trevor Barker, said he was interested in coming to an arrangement with a Continental coaching concern "possibly buying them out in the future."
