• Corrosion-resistant Teflon springs, three eight-wheelers and a twin-steer tractor unit are to be seen on the MAN VW stands (15-17 in Hall C).
Two of the 8x 4s are 30.240 derivatives with the MAN D2566MF sixcylinder 11.4 litre 177kW (237hp) engine installed, driving through a ZF constantmesh gearbox. The other eight-wheeled tipper is a 30.291, powered by the MAN D2866LF 290 six-cylinder 11.97 litre turbocharged and intercooled 213kW (286hp) engine, with a 13-speed Fuller rangechange gearbox.
The MAN 22.331 38-tonne twin-steer tractor unit has the same basic unit as the MAN 30.921, uprated to 243kW (326hp).
