• Our sister publication, Motor Transport, is sponsoring a Vehicle Security Conference at the St John's Swallow Hotel in Solihull on 21 May.
The conference is designed to help operators to overcome the increasing problem of vehicle thefts and thefts of loads.
Amongst the speakers will be Chief Inspector Derek Griffiths, from the Home Office Crime Prevention Centre, who will talk about how to prevent vehicle thefts from the viewpoint of the police. Paul Brooks, BRS Group security manager, will provide the operator's viewpoint of how to prevent vehicle thefts.
There will also be a small exhibition of security equipment and services.
