• Crane Fruehauf s range of insulated and refrigerated van semi-trailers has been boosted by the launch of a compositebodied, steel-chassied semitrailer.
The new trailer is available in standard or wide-bodied form, with tandem or tri-axle running gear and steel or Crane Fruehauf s own air suspension.
For the first time Crane Fruehauf is offering its customers bodywork with a bonded resin floor and composite walls and roof, all mounted on the chassis with bolt-on forged clips.
The trailer is fitted with a one-piece, 2nun-thick GRP lining, and a GRP skin is bonded to the outside which is claimed to give good thermal isolation. Externally the trailer is fitted with separate mud wings and anti-spray fittings around each wheel, while the rear lights are mounted on a full-width plastic rear panel.
