until mid-November on a 5.6-mile section from north of the Blind Lane interchange (A167 Chester-le-Street) to south of the Carrville interchange (A690 Durham). When the southern slip roads of Blind Lane interchange are closed, south-west exit slip road traffic going northbound should use the A689, and A167, south-east access slip road southbound traffic should use the A167, and either the A691 and A690 or the A689.
When the northern slip roads at Carrville interchange are closed, north-west access slip road traffic northbound should use the A690, A691 and A167, and north-east exit slip road traffic southbound should use the A167, A691 and A690.
Ml: Repairs to a three and a half mile stretch between junctions 30 and 33 will mean lane closures until early June. At most times, four lanes will be lept open, but the northbound entry slip road to the M18 at junction 31 will be closed.
M6: Both carriageways will be resurfaced for three and a half miles north of junction 35 (Carnforth). Contraflow arrangements will be in use until the end of June.
M6: There is bridge painting between junctions 41 and 42 at Calthwaite House bridge between Penrith and Carlisle and as a result, traffic must use one carriageway when traffic signs indicate.
