A NEW tachograph edition of the Freight Transport Association's Drivers' Handbook has been published and gives goods vehicle drivers a guide to the regulations affecting them and their vehicles in the United Kingdom and overseas.

The revised booklet is divided into four main sections: rules affecting the driver (such as driving offences, hgv driving licence and test); drivers hours, tachographs, drivers' records and vehicle licensing; rules affecting the driver and his vehicle (technicalinformation, lighting, weights and dimensions, and vehicle testing).

The third section of the book concentrates on roadworks, loading and unloading, and motorway driving, while the final section deals with rules, Customs documentation, and speed restrictions when travelling abroad.
