• A new plant in Turkey designed to produce 50,000 Perkins diesel engines a year is scheduled to start operations by the end of 1970.
The factory is to be built to support Perkins Engines Group manufacturing customers such as Chrysler and General Motors. It will be operated by a new company, Perkins MotorIan i A.S.. formed with 49 per cent capital subscribed by local shareholders.
