• The Tyneside Authority is already largely : discredited, and there must be serious • doubt whether it can form and supervise an Executive capable of fulfilling its duty irr • to the public

• Association] can be achieved in the : immediate future", the letter continues, • "we urge that the PTA should be dissolved : until the forthcoming re-organization of • local government has been undertaken." •
