Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Quentsplass Standard Steel for use in repairs to machinery. sealing porosity and cracks in castings, etc., is now supplied in an improved version in kits.

Quentsplass consists of two metal-filled plastics pastes which, when mixed together, set within a few hours. Once set it has good adhesion, physical and chemical properties. It can be worked in a similar manner to metals and resists most common chemicals. By adding a liquidizer it can be reduced to a pouring or brushing consistency for filling blowholes or lining tanks, etc. By using a release agent on bolts the rethreading of worn bolt holes can be accomplished. Pipe repairs under pressure can be speedily carried out using a sealing patch before applying the Quentsplass. For bridging large gaps in tanks or pipes reinforcing tape is used.

Where bonding rather than gap filling is required, Quentsbond Thixotropic Adhesive, which is also included in the kits, is used for joining metals, glass, concrete and all other common construction materials. The kits also contain Quentsplass Instant for two-minute repairs.

The composition of kits can be varied in other ways to suit a customer's individual requirements.

Many other types of Quentsplass can be included instead of (or in addition to) Quentsplass Standard Steel. There are grades for high temperatures and underwater work and special shades to match aluminium, copper, brass and bronze.
