SPEEDIER CATERPILLARS

THE new Super-Turbo engine with a maximum output rating of 320 b.h.p. is to be fitted by the Caterpillar Tractor Co., Ltd., in their DW20 and DW21 wheeled tractors. Higher speeds are thus obtainable. A side-dumping bucket, as available for 955 and 933 Traxcavator models, is now offered for the 977 appliance, the largest in the range. Capacity of the bucket is 2i cu. yd.

INDIAN TITAN ORDER

'TEN Titan double-deckers with I Pneurna-Cyclic transmission have been ordered by Kerala State Transport from Ashok Leyland, Ltd., Madras, who are introducing this type of chassis into their manufacturing programme. K.S.T. currently operate 140 Indian-bUilt Comet single-deckers. Bodywork of the Titans will be made from teak, steel and aluminium.
