• THE POST OFFICE LEE-SMITH/MEYNIE/ HARVEY Bryan Lee-Smith, former finance director for Post Office Counters, is helping set up the International Post Corporation in his new position as finance director. Lee-Smith's brief is to improve the post service between couriers throughout the world. He will be based in Brussels and manage a threestrong team.

He joined the Post Office in early 1983, after working as a management consultant and computer specialist with the Deloitte, Haskins and Sells financial consultancy's Paris Office.

The chief executive of International Post Corporation is former French postal director Guy Meynie, and the board of directors will be chaired by Irish Post Office chief executive Gerard Harvey.

• TRIMOCO JONES/NAUGHTEN Trimoco Motor Group has promoted Ian Jones to managing director. He was previously the main board director in charge of Trimoco's Ford division and was recently elected chairman of the London and District Ford Dealer Association, Duncan Naughten has filled the new position of development director and is exploring the possibility of adding new franchises to the group's dealer network. Formerly he headed Trimoco's development division. affairs for GI(N on 1 March, reporting to the chairman and chief executive David Lees.

Southgate is presently director of public and governmental affairs at Ford and is also director of European public relations at Ford, Europe.

After a career in journalism, he joined Ford's public affairs staff in 1966. He subsequently became responsible for coordinating Ford public relations programmes throughout Europe and in 1979 was made Ford, Europe, director of public affairs. He was appointed to his present positions in 1985.

• TEXACO BIJUR/AMBLER Peter Bijur, vice-president of Texaco Inc., has been appointed from 1 April to be chairman of Texaco Limited, the largest wholly-owned foreign subsidiary. Bijur, who is currently president and chief executive officer of Texaco Canada, succeeds John Ambler as head of the London-based subsidiary.

Ambler, also vice-president of Texaco Inc, from 1 April will be responsible for employee relations worldwide, and will be based at the company's headquarters in Harrison, New York.

• PHH EUROPE CULLUM/KNIGHT/ WHALLEY John Cullum has been appointed president, vehicle management services, for PHH Europe of Swindon, and retains his position as managing director of the company's subsidiary PHH AllStar.

David Knight, client services director for PHH AllStar,

has been named deputy managing director with additional responsibilities for sales, finance, networks and UK business development.

General manager, marketing, Rob Whalley has been appointed to the board of PHH AllStar as marketing director. His responsibilities cover UK marketing activities and support for pan-European developments.

• CITY LINK TRANSPORT ALDER City Link Transport has made Ray Alder human resources executive. In this newly created position he handles personnel and training throughout the City Link 49 UK branch network.

Before joining the company he was a personnel consultant and has carried out training, recruitment and organisational structuring assignments for major British and American multi-national organisations.

• GREENHOUS HEREFORD POWELL AWD dealer Greenhous Hereford's new commercial vehicle marketing director is Andrew Powell. He has been with the company for 21 years, having joined soon after leaving school as an apprentice in the commercial parts department at Lyde.

He progressed to parts department supervisor before becoming a trainee commercial vehicle salesman in 1976, and was promoted to commercial vehicle marketing manager five years ago.
