• Newly formed Mechspec has acquired the design rights to the Challenger lightweight vehicle-mounted crane. The Doncaster-based company offers the fully demountable Challenger cranes for use on dropside trucks from 3.5 tonnes gross vehicle weight upwards.
All the cranes are built to BS2573, offering lifting capacities ranging from 1.05 to 1.45 tonne/metre. A 2.5 tonne/metre version is to be launched soon. Mechspec is establishing a nationwide fitting service for its cranes.
