• Daf chairman Aart van der Padt has revealed that his company is still talking with "at least three" other vehicle producers about collaboration in the replacement of the Sherpa van. He says progress in the talks has been slow, so the company is proceeding with investment in the new vehicle. Daf plans to increase the proportion of van sales — which stands at 37% — possibly to 50%, a figure van der Padt says could be achieved easily "but not tomorrow".
