• West Midlands haulier Renwicks Freight has taken over two more companies in the past fortnight.
M&T Haulage, the most recent acquisition, is based near Reading. It runs a fleet of 29 CVs and deals in steel.
Renwicks has also bought out Alloa-based Nationwide Trailer Rentals which recently went into receivership: 84 trailers were included in the deal. The company name will be changed, says company secretary Philip mime, and the operation may be transferred to Glasgow under the umbrella of Renwicks' subsidiary Strathclyde Commercials.
Renwicks has recently bought firms in Cardiff, Manchester, Avonmouth, Stafford, Stallingborough, Smalley, Reading and Hixon.
