• The Thai armed forces are evaluating AWD's 8 x 6 MTM55 truck-trailer combination, developed by AWD's sister company Multidrive.
It joins an AWD 10-tonne TM 4-4 which is AWD's contender for a £25 million military vehicle contract about to be placed by the Thai Army and Marine Corps.
AWD hopes the MTM-55 may swing the contract in its favour. The Thai authorities are seeking 458 10-tonne trucks, including 400 tippers for use in road building and maintenance work.
