Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

RENOLD GEARS has won a £34,000 order to supply transmission units to Freight Rover for electric Sherpa vans. The order is the first to be placed with Renold by Freight Rover, which previously fitted Morse Chain units. Renold already supplies similar transmissions to Bedford for the electric CF van.

The Renold transmission comprises four strands of roller chain, with a double-acting tensioner, enclosed in an aluminium case. It is driven on the electric Sherpa by a rearmounted 40kW (54hp) dc traction motor.

The batteries and motors used on both the Sherpa and CF electric vans are supplied by Lucas Chloride EV Systems, with which Renold carried out transmission development work over a three-year period. Renold estimates that the total value of its electric vehicle transmission business is approaching £650,000
