Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

ALL-TERRAIN VEHICLES of Swindon has developed a range of low ground pressure, cross-country vehicles including two eight-wheel-drive commercial variants called Veepee 8 and the Veepee Truck.

Both models are fitted with the 25kW (34hp) 652cc flat-twin Citroen Visa petrol engine coupled to a four-speed manual gearbox which powers all eight wheels via a chain-driven secondary transmission. An optional 37kW (50hp) derated version of the 1,905cc four-cylinder Peugeot 305 diesel engine can also be specificed on the Veepee Truck as well as a power take-off.

Steering is via twin handlevers which are used to brake the wheels on one side of the vehicle causing it to turn. To provide additional capability over very soft terrain, ATV's eight-wheelers can be equipped with flexible rubber tracks over the normal wheels. This reduces the laden vehicle ground pressure to as little as 0.7 lb/sqin per wheel.

The 1.36-tonne-gvw Veepee 8 has a steel-bottom body section with glass-reinforced plastic bodywork, and can be supplied as a six-man crew carrier or as a load carrier with a 540kg (10.6cwt) payload.

The Veepee Truck has an allsteel chassis which can be supplied with a variety of cabs or full van bodies. Maximum payload on the 1.66-tonne-gvw petrol-engined version is 800kg (1 5.8cwt), and 1.0-tonne (19.7cwt) on the 1.85-tonne-gvw diesel variant.

Price for the Veepee 8 is £5,995 and £6,995 for the Veepee Truck. Both prices exclude vat.
