PHYSICAL action against British coach operators is being threatened by the Coach Tourism Council of Ireland which is affiliated to the Private Association of Motor Bus Owners (Pemba).
The Irish independents are angry because of what they consider unfair competition from British operators.
Because of currency exchange differences and Irish excise duties and taxes, coaches cost almost double the British price in the Irish Republic.
They say that British operators carrying foreign groups into Ireland are damaging their livelihoods.
