• Union officials are travelling "incognito" on late night buses at Newcastle upon Tyne to help combat rowdyism. Routes where complaints about hooliganism are frequent are being covered with the approval of Tyneside PTE. In a recent instance, union representatives helped to apprehend four youths who were later fined £65 for disorderly conduct on a bus.
