THE Western National Omnibus Co. Ltd. and the Southern National have undertaken to reduce fares on a selected route in an experimental attempt to attract more passengers. The suggestion was made during a fares revision hearing before the Western Traffic Commissioners at Exeter.
The companies were granted Id. increase on 5d., 7d., 9d., and lid, adult fares; discontinuation of return fares; and certain other revisions. But they were not allowed to increase children's fares from half to three-quarter of the adult rates.
