Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

AN application by Bullens Organization Ltd.

to consolidate on renewal two A licences covering 41 vehicles and a B licence covering 14 vehicles has been granted by Metropolitan LA Mr. D. I. R. Muir.

The company sought a condition to authorize "the carriage of furniture and effects as household, office, and factory removal contractors, and general goods any distance". Its B licence had limited the carriage of general goods to 20 miles.

The application was opposed by BRS and British Railways but the LA felt that the grant as applied for would not damage them.

HOT TIPPERS

T. T. WALKER (HAULAGE) LTD., Newburn, was granted three additional four-ton insulated tippers on B-licence in Newcastle last week. They will carry hot rolled asphalt and the specially designed vehicles, having wooden or aluminium frames with blown polystyrene filing, will maintain the asphalt's temperature to prevent it falling below the spreading minimum of 250° F.
