Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

FIVE 32-ton-gross spirit/kerosene tankers

measuring 40ft. 3in. long and 10ft. 10in, high have been ordered by Shell-Mex and BP Ltd. The biggest petroleum tankers in the company's present fleet are of 4,000 gal. capacity but the new artics will take advantage of the Home Office regulations-permitting a maximum of 6,600 gal.-by having three 1,100 gal. and three 1,000 gal. compartments: total 6,300 gal.

The tanks will be able to carry a full gallonage of motor spirit, 5,900 gal. of kerosene or 5,500 gal. of gas oil. All products except motor spirit will be discharged by positive displacement 200 g.p.m. pump.

Tractive units will be Scammell Trunker Mk. H twin-steers with power steering and Leyland 0.680 diesel engines. The tank semi trailers, of which the first two are now being built, are by Gloster Saro Ltd., Hucclecote.
