Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Skull), UK has developed an automatic overfill prevention system for use on LPG tankers, designed to shut down the filling operation as soon as the tank becomes full.

The system consists of a probe which is mounted in a high pressure holder on top of the tank.

At the time of loading it is connected to a control monitor on the gantry which opens the filling valve using an optically isolated relay.

The heart of the system is a well proven and failsafe method of continuous electronic pulsing developed, by Scully's parent company in the US, to handle oil.

Every 30 seconds it transmits a series of pulses which if stopped, by the fuel touching the sensor or by a fault, the filling process is halted.

• The unusual demands by tipper bodies on the CraneFruehauf T air suspension system has exposed problems with the bump stops. The rapid reversal of Loads under gone by tipper suspension has proved too much for the bump stops on the trailers of CTS Midlands, which has had 36 suspension units replaced under warranty on eight of its trailers in the past year.

Crane-Fruehauf has gone back to its supplier with the problem, and now has stocks of redesigned units with bump stops retained by both bolts and epoxy-resin. There was an interruption in the supply of the units while the modification was made, but Crane-Fruehauf now have ample stocks. Any units returned under warranty will be replaced with the modified units, which carry a fresh warranty.
