Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Nationwide Transport (CM, May 7) is to be announced in Amsterdam next week.

The two Australian companies have reached agreement on a deal to create one of the largest parcels operations in Europe, with Ipec becoming an autonomous division of TNT, known as TNT [pee.

It will strengthen TNT's position in Europe, and will provide a united network of 95 parcels depots in 10 European countries, and a 72-hour door-to-door service to Detroit and Los Angeles.

According to Ipec, the TNT takeover will lead to the introduction of a 24-hour service between Southern England and Northern Europe, and could result in further expansion in future. TNT's Europfast service will be absorbed by TNT Ipec.

There is no word yet of the price paid by TNT for Ipec or of the future of TNT agents in areas where Ipec already has depots.

THE DEPARTMENT of Transport has warned drivers to take heed of speed restriction signs on sections of roads being resurfaced with stone chippings.
