FROM September I. flashing indicators will he a compulsory fitting on all new commercial vehicles. This was said in the House of Lords last week by Lord Lindgren, replying to a question by Lord Perrier ;isking if thc Government would introduce legislation making direction indicators obligatory on all motor vehicles.

Lord Lindgren also said that although the regulations at the moment had been agreed by international bodies, as well as the vehicle manufacturers, they did not as yet cover the question of intensity of light. II was hoped that this would be the nes step and would include dealing with the question of dual-intensity for day and night use.
