He will co-ordinate the work of the spares and service departments and reorganize and streamline the machinery for supplying parts through. the distributor network. Mr. Margetts served an engineering apprenticeship at Leyland Motors Ltd., followed by a number of years' experience in the service organization, being particularly responsible for service functions in western -Enrope. En the new division. Mr. E, B. Evans, service manager, and Mr. J._ Weedon, parts manager, will be responsible to Mr. Margeus, who in turn will be directly responsible to the Scammell board.
Mr. E. L. Taylor has resigned his post as a-director of Eddison Plant Ltd. on his retirement from business.
Mr. John May has been appointed sales' engineer for Dennis Bros. Ltd. to represent the company in the Midlands and North Wales areas. Mr. May was previously with the Austin Motor Co. Ltd. as commercial vehicle sales representative.
Mr. B. A. Ridley has been appointed managing director. British Roadrailer Services Ltd., in succession to Mr. T. H. Thornton, now managing director. Northern Ireland Carriers Ltd. Mr. Ridley was previously London district manager', British Road Service's Ltd., a position he had held since February, 1959.
Mr. G. Coiling, superintendent at the central works of Maidstone and District Motor Services Ltd., has retired after 37 years with the company. He will be succeeded by Mr. J. D. Awde, the company's assistant engineer, whose new designation wilt be works engineer.
Mr. John Fitzpatrick has hcen appointed a director of Silverdale Motor Bodies of Birmingham, who specialize in insulated and refrigerated vehicles. He is ?„2 years old and the only son of Mr. Frank Fitzpatrick, chairman and managing director of Silverdale Motor Bodies.
Mr. Noel C. Crighton has joined the board of Reliant Motor Co. Ltd. Mr. Crichton is managing director of Hodgkinson Bennis, which merged with Reliant earlier this year. Mr. F. R. Parkin, manager of N. Francis and Co. Ltd., has been appointed to the Francis hoard.
Mr. A. J. Worster, who retired as director of production of The Rover Co. Ltd. earlier this year, has resigned as a director of the company, Mr. Worster has been with Rover for 34 years.
Mr. James C. Knight, traffic manager of Liverpool Cooperative Society, has. retired after more than 47 years' Service at. Liverpool. He is a former •president of the National Co-operative Traffic Managers Association.
