TENTS are normally the only covered accommodation available at agricultural shows—not always the most sumptuous places where exhibitors can take their guests. Gascoignes (Reading), Ltd., Berkeley Avenue, Reading, have improved their facilities by converting an ex-B.O.A.C. Commer 11-deck coach into a well-appointed exhibition vehicle.
The lower deck is now a lounge or conference room, with bureau, seats, extensible tables, lockers, cocktail cupboard and built-in radio. The lower portion of the rear of the vehicle is fitted out as a kitchen, with Calorgas stove and racks for crockery. To provide extra working space for the cooking staff, a three-sided tent, with wood-slatted floor, may be erected at the rear.
The upper half of the rear compartment may be either a lounge annexe by day, or a two-berth sleeping cabin by night. It will be at Windsor for the Royal Show.
