I-1 A UNIT for the conversion of International KB-8 vehicles to oilengined operation has been placed on the export market by Leyland Motors, Ltd. It is the same engine as in the Comet 90. It is claimed that for every 100 gallons of fuel consumed by the standard Red Diamond engine of the KB-8, the Leyland unit uses 48. The conversion pack is contained in one crate.

AUSTIN-SCAMMELL PRICE FIXED

THE price in this country of the new Austin-Scarnmell prime mover has been fixed at £670 plus £109 9s. purchase tax. This does not include the automatic coupling gear supplied and fitted by Scammell for £116 (no tax).

A Perkins P.6 engine may be installed as an alternative to the Austin petrol unit at an additional cost of £314 plus £65 8s. 4d. tax.
