Petrol and oil engines for tractors, commercial vehicles and stationary purposes, will form the exhibit of the Coventry Victor Motor Co., Ltd., Coventry, on Stand 35A. Horizontally opposed twin-cylindered units, in both air-cooled and water-cooled forms, and single-cylindered vertical-type engines will be featured.
The new Grantham-built Newman tractor, known originally as the Kendall, is powered by a Coventry Victor 7-9 h.p. oil engine, an example of which will be available for inspection.
The Dunlop Rubber Co., Ltd., Fort Dunlop, Erdington, Birmingham, will be exhibiting on Stand 272 F a full range of tyres for all types of mobile farm implement The Firestone Tyre and Rubber Co., Ltd., Great West Road, Brentford, Middlesex (Stand 159 D), will be displaying its Ground Grip tractor Lyre, as well as a full range of equipment for use on all types of wheel fitted to mobile farm implements, from tractors to wheelbarrows.
As in past years, the Goodyear Tyre and Rubber Co. (Gt. Britain), Ltd., Wolverhampton (Stand 269 F), will
show a full range of tyres of .specific interest to the farming industry.
Attention is directed to the new range of tyres for carts, trailers, and many other farm implements, which will be shown by the India Tyre and Rubber Co., Ltd., 30, St. John's Wood Road, London, N.W.8, on Stand 219 E. The Super Grip tractor tyre, with grooved bars, which will be shown, has a reputation for its self-cleaning qualities. Incidentally, the grooved bars give smoother travel on hard roads.
The correct lubrication of farm machinery is often neglected, and hence Stand 232 E, occupied by Tecalemit, Ltd., Great West Road, Brentford, Middlesex, will well repay anvisit. This concern will be showing numerous types of equipment designed for servicing tractors and other units employed on the farm.
