Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

THERE is no need to emphasize here the value of road transport to the agricultural industry in every direction. Farmers are important users of road-transport vehicles. Sometimes, however, it is suggested that better and more economical use might be made of motor vehicles for farm work and for road haulage in connection with agricultural produce, and that these uses might be made the subject for investigation by the Institute for Research in Agricultural Engineering,University of Oxford.

Farm haulage is almost a thing apart from road transport and its requirements are so various that a little scientific light thrown on both phases of the subject would undoubtedly find a warm welcome. The Investigation would be by no means an easy one and full results could not be expected all at once, but it would yield some information of use to the industry.
