Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• BT is buying a further 7,000 Ford Escort 50 diesel vans and 4,000 diesel Fiesta vans. Its nationwide fleet includes 16,000 Escort and Fiesta vans as well as 20,000 Transit panel vans. BT runs its light vans for three years and its Transits for five.

• Mitsubishi has decided on prices for its new L200 pickup range. The 4x2 naturally aspirated diesel costs 210,300 and the 4x4 turbodiesel model costs Cl 3,200 (both ex-VAT). The prices include the standard "high specification" pickup— Mitsubishi no longer offers the Diamond Option Pack. The L200 4x4 will be tested in CM next week.

• Ford has introduced its Barrier Deadlock to the Transit's aftermarket security range. It locks the gear selector linkage in reverse and is operated via a transmission tunnel-mounted push-button which is then unlocked with a key. It costs £195 (ex-VAT) including fitting.

• Mercedes-Benz is using greenhouse-grown plants in the grounds of its Sindelfingen premises to monitor levels of airborne pollutants from the factory's paintshop.

• Iveco Ford dealer AM Phillip has opened a satellite operation near Edinburgh. It sells the full range of Iveco Ford products and provides service and parts back-up.

• Citroen announced its highest-ever share of the UK light van market in 1996: more than 7% of sales made it the best-selling manufacturer after Ford and Vauxhall, thanks to good sales of the new Berlingo.
