Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

PRODUCTION of commercial vehicles last year is likely to have exceeded 309,000, compared with 288,253 in 1957. Figures published by the Board of Trade show that 283,220 vehicles were manufactured in the first It months of 1958.

Exports are, however, likely to have been lower than in 1957, with a total of about 115,000 units, compared with 122,567 in 1957. Exports in the first 11 months of the year totalled 105,341 units.

November's output consisted of 24.005 vehicles (23,142 goods and 863 passenger). as against 26,959 (26,034 goods and 925 passenger) in November. 1957.

Exports were also down. The figure for November last was 8,685 vehicles (8,213 goods and 472 passenger), compared with 11,538 (10.988 goods and 550 passenger) in November. 1957.
