Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

ASUBSTANTIAL claim for damages is to be made by a motorcyclist who received severe injuries when he hit planks jutting out from a lorry. This was stated by the police at Rotherham, on Monday, when the lorry driver, Alfred Peacock, Talbot Road, Worksop, was fined £5 for carrying a dangerous load.

The prosecution declared that the motorcyclist would have been killed if he had not worn a crash helmet. Cotton fibre used in the helmet was embedded in one of the planks.

Peacock said he did not know his load had slipped until seen by the police.
